Pep Guardiola (Spain) is expected to extend his companionship with Manchester City in the English Premier League (EPL).
The BBC, a British media outlet, quoted The Athletic as saying, “There was no official announcement from the club, but according to various sources, Guardiola agreed to extend his one-year contract with Manchester City.” Originally, Guardiola’s contract with Manchester City was scheduled to end in June 2025, but the extension is expected to increase the number of companions to 10 years.
Since joining Manchester City in 2016, Guardiola has won 18 trophies so far. During the period, he won six EPL titles. During the 2022-23 season, he won the EPL, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League, becoming the second British club to achieve the treble (triple crown). Manchester City also became the first EPL champion in the history of the EPL last season. Guardiola is the only one who scored more than 100 points in a single EPL season.
Reportedly, the renewal of the contract will be made one-plus-one-year extension, but media outlets have said that it has yet to be finalized. Currently, Manchester City ranks second in the 바로벳.
